Antiwrinkle injection treatment

This is is a quick and safe procedure which has very little impact on usual activity on the day of injection. Tiny injections are delivered to relax the action of the muscles that create excessive movement and leave wrinkles on the skin

  • Do not consume excessive alcohol for 24 hours after the procedure

  • Do not do any exercise for 24 hours after the procedure

  • Do not massage the areas

  • Do not have any facial massages, facials or put any excessive pressure to the areas treated for 1 week after the procedure.

  • try to sleep lying flat in bed the night after the procedure

  • Try to exercise the muscles treated for 4 hours after the procedure. So keep smiling, frowning etc.

  • If you get any small bruises do apply ice and arnica cream. Mineral based make up can be applied immediately after the procedure

  • If you bruise easily, you may want to take arnica tablets for 1 day before the procedure and for 5 days afterwards.

  • Try to avoid sun beds and saunas for 3-4 days after the procedure.

  • In the case of underarm sweating treatment, do not use any deodorant for 24 hours.

Dermal filler aftercare

You have undergone a dermal filler treatment where hyaluronic acid has been placed in the skin. You may initially be swollen, red and bruised which will subside within the next 1 – 10 days, especially if the bruising is extensive.

  • Do not consume excessive alcohol for 24 hours

  • Do not do any aerobic exercise for 24 hours after the procedure

  • If you get any bruising do apply ice and arnica cream. Mineral based make up can be applied immediately after the procedure

  • If you experience any lumpiness in the implantation area it can be gently massaged to help smooth this out.

  • If you bruise easily, you may want to take arnica tablets for 1 day before the procedure and for 5 days afterwards.

  • It is advisable that you do not touch the area for 6 hours.

  • If you are prone to cold sores around the mouth, and this is the area which you want to be treated, ask to be to prescribe zovirax tablets for you, to be taken just before and for a few days after the procedure.

  • Try to avoid sun beds and saunas for 3-4 days after the procedure.

Chemical Peel/microneedling and mesotherapy aftercare

After receiving a chemical peel, most people experience significant improvements to the appearance and texture of their skin.

  • After treatment with any of our peels, you must avoid sun exposure for 3-4 weeks.

    Try to avoid sun beds and saunas for 3-4 days after the procedure.

  • do not use any products on your face for 24 hours after treatment

  • You need to use a sun protection factor cream every day for several weeks after the chemical peel, as you should anyway throughout the year.

  • After any of the peels, your skin will be red and flaky for a few days afterwards, and in the case of the easy TCA peel, your skin will peel off after 3-5 days. So with the procedure on a Monday, your skin will peel during the week, whereas a Wednesday procedure will mean that you peel over the weekend.

  • avoid Powered cleansing brushes; Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids; Retinol (Vitamin A); Vitamin C (low-pH formula) scrubs; and, Anything perceived as “active” skincare for 72 hours

Aqualyx Aftercare

Immediately after treatment, there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injections. The inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears in a few days. If it continues or if other reactions occur, please call us. The results directly after the treatment should not be seen as the final result

Avoid touching the treatment area 6 hours after the treatment. After that the area can be gently washed with soap and water, and light make-up can be applied in the case of the neck/jaw area after 24 hours. Until the initial swelling has resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (e.g. solarium and sunbathing) or extreme cold. If you are using aspirin or any similar medication, be aware that these may increase the bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
